A glimpse of interactive session on “Terrorism and Foreign Policy” with former Secretary Interior Mr. Jalil Abbas Jilani at NACTA-Hqrs

Mr. Jalil Abbas Jilani (Former Foreign Secretary, Ministry of Foreign Affairs) was invited for interactive session on “Terrorism and Foreign Policy” on Friday, November 17th, 2017 NACTA, HQ.

He eloquently highlighted the salient features of Foreign Policy of Pakistan at Regional and International level with reference to terrorism. He also briefed the participants about the Foreign Policy measures taken by MoFA in the comity of nation.

Later NACTA officers raised different questions on issues of terrorism. He explained that Extremism and Terrorism related affairs that need to be dealt with on time and should be nipped in the bud otherwise it would become difficult to control this situation once it takes roots in the society. Full recovery of society is rare in such cases but it is not impossible. It is need of the hour to recognize the threat & find early means to curing the malaise that has plagued us.

Extremism is precursor the terrorism and it is sine quo non for every Government to ensure infant long term measures in order to reverse its momentum. But counter terrorism policies need to be studied analyzed and implemented in our count for rooting out the menace of extremism and terrorism.
