Operation Zarb-e-Azb, June 15, 2014 to April 3, 2017, was a very successful operation by Pakistan Army & Air Force against terrorist organizations like TTP, IMU, ETIM, LJ, Jundullah and their facilitators hiding in North Waziristan Area of FATA.

Government of Pakistan under section 11-B of Anti Terrorism Act can declare an organization believed to be concerned with terrorism as a Proscribed Organization or put it under surveillance. Ministry of Interior issues the formal notification of proscription of an organization. NACTA is primarily concerned with monitoring for any signs of re-emergence through intelligence coordination, once an organization is proscribed.

Proscribed Organizations (71):

Seventy (71) Organizations/ Splinter Outfits have been notified as Proscribed by Ministry of Interior u/section 11-B-(1) r/w Schedule-I, Anti-Terrorism Act, 1997. Name of the country is mentioned if the organization is believed to be operating outside Pakistan and reference to UNSCR 1267 is mentioned, in case the organization has been enlisted by the UN Security Council.
