Sitara-i-Imtiaz

IGP Muhammad Tahir Rai, NC NACTA has been awarded prestigious civil award Sitara-i-Imtiaz by the President of Pakistan in a ceremony held on 23rd March 2023. IGP Rai played a pivotal role in investigation and prosecution of terrorism financing cases in CTD Punjab. He prepared a comprehensive strategy against Proscribed Organisations involved in terrorism financing. He drafted a TF investigation policy which was later adapted by the rest of the country. His role has been instrumental in removal of Pakistan from FATF Grey List.
